Master of Obsidian Sales

Back when Amber Quill put up the coming soon page for Master of Obsidian, I was a bit concerned. There were warnings beneath the blurb. A lot of warnings. Don't believe me?

Heat Level: 3
Advisory: This book contains graphic violence, hardcore bondage and punishment, torture and blood play. May not be suitable for the more sensitive reader
I've never had a book with warnings like that, but to be fair, I've never had a book that featured violence, hardcore bondage and punishment or blood play. Or torture, come to think of it. But another part of me suspected that the more warnings we had, the better. I mean, if you're going to shell out five or six or seven dollars for a book, you want it to be worth your time and money, right?

Turns out that theory was correct. Trace posted the top ten best sellers for May, and Master of Obsidian is number 3!

I can't wait to see what sort of warnings we get for the sequels, Unveiled and Mosaic Moon.

Maybe I need to write a book that merits the notation: warning this book with scare you right back into the womb.

I tend to get only the occassional complaint that my books don't have enough adult material. That's ebook readers for you.

Emily, I would totally read a book with that warning. You should get on that posthaste :)

I've never gotten any complaints--unless you count the poor sales on a few of my titles. That's about the only feedback I get.

Hi. Mazal here. I'm sure I've asked you about this previously, but are any Jamie Craig books (or Pepper Espinoza books, or Vivien Dean books) available in hardcopy at brick-and-mortar Barnes&Nobles? I'm one of those dinosaurs who likes to go to actual bookstores and read actual books. Best wishes.

Hey, Judy. That's a bit of a complicated question. A few of my Pepper books are available through Amazon (Surrender's Edge and Rayne of Love. Rayne of Love should also be available in Borders and Walden Books). Master of Obsidian is available through amazon, and Chasing Silver will be available in all the major bookstores. Craving Kismet will be available in major bookstores eventually. A few of Vivien's books are also available through amazon, but I don't think any of them are in bookstores.

As far as I know, any book available through amazon can be special ordered at bookstores, if you have the ISBN number.
