Unveiled--4 Angeles from FAR

Reviewer: Ashley
Rating: 4/5 Angels

Unveiled takes us back into the lives of Jesse and Gideon, who were first introduced in Jamie Craig’s first Master Chronicles book. Gideon is a centuries old vampire who also happens to be a private detective. Jesse is his employee turned lover. This time around they find themselves at the scene of a vicious crime. Unwilling to turn their backs, they dive into the cruel world of vampire art. With the help of Emma, a woman they have saved from the vampire club, they try to figure out who is behind the murders and keep it from happening again.

At first I was unsure of how I would feel about another character coming into play, but after reading it I can’t think of anything bad to say about Unveiled. I love the connection between Gideon and Jesse. Their interactions are exactly what I want from a story like this. I was worried that the introduction of Emma would take away from that, and I was very pleased to see that she doesn’t. Jamie Craig did an excellent job of keeping the relationshiat she doesn’t. Jamie Craig did an excellent job of keeping the relationship between Jesse and Gideon has intense and exciting as it was in Master of Obsidian. Emma doesn’t take anything away, she adds so much more to the story. Emma is smart and strong. She has her head on her shoulders and she is a very easy character to like.
