Well, three months in, and our new blogging schedule is starting to shake out a little. Because of some of the things we've learned, we're going to start some new things in the near future, like spending a day a week talking about our current writing project.
What we're curious is what you would like to see. One of the things we've considered is character interviews. We've seen this a couple places around the web and it always looks like fun. And it's not like we don't have a ton of characters to choose from. But what else might be fun? What else would you want to read?

Hi to you both. Love the character interview idea, excerpts of course, and maybe a mini-scavenger hunt to get more readers checking out your websites, or a poll question about a specific book or character.
Just got thru re-reading Chasing Silver and can't wait to read Touching Silver.
I like hearing authors talk about current projects, especially my favorite authors (I check their coming soon and current projects pages often), because that gives me something to look forward to. It's a double-edged sword though because I get really impatient and want to read it immediately! It's very agonizing when I know the wait 'til publication will be long or if it doesn't even have a release date yet.
I've only read two character interviews so far, but they were of my favorite characters so I loved them. I think this is a great idea.
You could also go with Thursday Thirteens. I see some authors doing it now and most of their thirteens are very amusing. They write about thirteen projects they're working on, thirteen story ideas, thirteen favorite books, thirteen favorite sites, etc. The funniest one was one of Amanda Young's Thursday Thirteens. She posted about thirteen different ways to say penis...
And if you like playing with your characters, you could do character blogs. I guess this would be kinda like character interviews. I noticed the blog thing from Matthew Haldeman-Time. He does it with his character Rini, who has a MySpace blog and blogs about random events happening in his life. His blog posts are very funny (for people who've read the series) with lots of inside jokes.

Great ideas, M. I also like it when guest authors drop in to share their titles and some excerpts with us. Then cross post the link on your publisher group sites, to get some new fans to drop by.
